Right Hand Bat / Wicketkeeper

James progressed right through from the Wollaston's Under Elevens to senior cricket and is a stylish right handed batsman whose pull shots and walking straight drives are highly effective and easily recognisable. He features mainly in the second eleven these days, often opening the batting providing a solid platform and the perfect foil for the more cavalier players in the team. After joining the club as an 11 year old James progressed through the youth teams and, following in his dad’s footsteps, made his senior debut in 1992.

 

First Eleven runs: 512                    Best season: 258 runs in 2002

Second Eleven runs:  1286            Best season: 293 runs in 2005
